Voice of God

We’re watching a video in physics, in a series filmed at CalTech—The Mechanical Universe.

These videos are sometimes absurd—where else would you see a billiards club used for examples of heat and inertia? There is usually a level of humour to the video … such as referring to whisky as « experimental fluid » with an arch tone.

The other amusing component of the videos is what our class has lovingly dubbed « the Voice of God » : there is a particular female voice which states any equation. Since the voice is only around when explaining some basic concept of the universe, and it echoes every time, we decided it would best be named the Voice of God.
